Air Slide

Air slide fabrics are used in various industries for pneumatic conveying, discharge, homogenizing and fluidizing of powdered or granular materials. They are used on pneumatic conveyors, silos of every type, vehicle trucks and all-wagons and also in ships.

The mode of Operation of the pneumatic trough conveyor is as follows:

Air at a pressure of about 0,05 bar for powdered materials and about 0,16 bar for tailings and similar materials is fed into the air supply duct. From there it passes through the porous longitudinal partition and enters the conveying duct, where it fluidizes the finely divided material to be conveyed. As a result, this material will flow by gravity in a downward direction of the inclined duct or trough. air slides are made of polyester and aramide. Polyester is naturally delivered with welded edges, whereas the edges of the aramide fabric are sealed by a heat-resistant impregnation. These are available in various weavings, thickness and in the air permeability needed for use. Polyester could also be made anti-static. Some useful applications of Air slides are:
